If you are the first time in Chicago you must visit Pizzeria Portofino!!! This place offers an exceptional dining experience with its beautiful riverside location, delicious food, and impeccable service. The setting is stunning, with views of the water creating a serene and picturesque backdrop. The decor is modern and stylish, yet it maintains a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is where Pizzeria Portofino truly shines. The pizza is outstanding, with a perfect thin crust, fresh ingredients, and a balance of flavors that left me craving more. The Margherita pizza was a standout, with its rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil. Beyond the pizza, the menu offers a variety of Italian dishes, all executed with great attention to detail. The only thing the pizza was a little salty. I put 4 stars for that, guys, sorry! Service at Pizzeria Portofino is awesome! The staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need is met. Overall, Pizzeria Portofino is a spot that combines exquisite food, a beautiful location, and excellent service. It's a fantastic place for a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a special celebration. I can't wait to return and enjoy another memorable meal by the water.

Order: - Strawberry Bruschetta (5/5) - Prime Beef Meatball (5/5) - Charred Pepperoni Pizza (5/5) - Rigatoni Vodka (5/5) - Chicken Piccata (5/5) Pros: - Amazing tasting food and presentation - Great outdoor seating area looking over the river. Our company had a company dinner, and we had a nice spot nestled in the corner - Great portion sizes that can be easily shared with the table - Full bar with a good selection of cocktails Cons: - Seating arrangements is tight and hard to move around, especially when you go inside to use the restroom Overall: amazing dining experience here. Our company is thinking of hosting our summer outing dinner here again next year because of how great it was this year!

Always such a good spot to have lunch overlooking the river My favorite is always the pepperoni pizza, which comes with a little jar of hot honey! I also tried the Garlic Bread for the first time and it was to die for!

Took the kids here to eat before a matinee in the theater district. Beautiful views of the city and the Chicago river! Our server was well versed in the menu & gave great suggestions. The food was excellent & delivered to our table with great speed so we never worried about being late to the show. The Almafi Spritz was delicious & if you want a refreshing lemon beverage I would 100% recommend!

My favorite restaurant in all of Chicago! The food, service, and ambiance is AMAZING! I highly recommend making reservations in advance through Open Table and paying the extra deposit to have a table on the patio. We came for our anniversary and they surprised us with a little happy anniversary card at our table and dessert at the end of our late lunch. The decor reminds you of Amalfi coast with the vines and lemons all around. The server was so welcoming and helped us navigate through the menu since everything looked delicious. The food was flavorful and fresh! I highly recommend everything we ordered - the charred pepperoni pizza, watermelon and feta salad, and rigatoni vodka.

One of my new favorite places to eat in Chicago! The food is fantastic, and the views are breathtaking. You will not regret visiting this gem of a restaurant on your trip to Chicago/your night out on the town. The lighting is very nice, and sets the mood for a good date or a sweet time with friends to celebrate. Every detail about this place is alluring. The staff is very friendly, and anything you order will come out quickly. I commend the staff and owners for their beautiful experience, I can't wait to come back!

If you're in Chicago and craving a fantastic dining experience with a view, Pizzeria Portofino is a must. Here's why: First things first, make a reservation if you want a table; it gets busy. But if you're up for it, the bar seating is first come, first served. We lucked out with a spot. And let me tell you, the views of the river from the patio on a sunny day are gorgeous. I started with one of their Spritz cocktails, which I described as summery and refreshing. What started as a small snack escalated quickly when we couldn't resist ordering the charred pepperoni pizza with hot honey drizzle. Let me warn you now, that hot honey is addictive--I could eat it by the spoonful. Even though we were at the bar, which offers full service, we were well taken care of. The staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, the combination of delicious food, stunning views, and top-notch service makes it a place I'll definitely be returning to. Whether you're a local or just visiting, do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself and make the reservation.

Visited for the first time to celebrate a birthday! The inside is really cute. We got outdoor sitting and it was a lovely view and weather! Recommend making reservation as it tends to get full all the time during summer. The inside felt a little chaotic from how busy it looked so really happy with the outdoor seating. Overall the food was a 7/10. The fries and watermelon and feta salad were my favorite. However, nothing about the food felt amazing to me. Chicago definitely has better Italian places. They brought out sorbet with a sparkler as the birthday treat which was really cute. I do wish our server was more attentive but it was a very busy evening for them. Would recommend for special celebrations.

Great food with a nice lakeside view, our server Jacob gave the best service and was very attentive and friendly. Came here for a year anniversary, Jacob treated us to complementary wine and dessert. Highly recommend the Caesar salad & charred pepperoni pizza, will definitely be back!

Well.. the hosts were so kind, the atmosphere is incredible walls lined with ivy, river walk views, cold Prosecco, it's a beautiful day. The server recommended the meatballs they were literally the best meatballs I've ever had. The pizza is thin and so delicious so you may need more than one. Honestly just go you cannot beat the Chicago river views, and the food and the people. Follow me for more recommendations on IG @ flywithjacqueline
